Early-Stage Memory Support

For those with early-stage Alzheimer's disease or memory impairment, Bartley Healthcare has expanded Cedar Spring to include comprehensive memory support services in our assisted living community, The Orchards. Our innovative, activity-based program, Cedar Spring was developed following guidelines from the Alzheimer's Association. The Program maximizes residents' functional and cognitive abilities in a safe, secure, predictable environment.

Delivered within the safe and secure Cedar Court Neighborhood, Cedar Spring provides residents with the independence and lifestyle of assisted living and the appropriate support, care services, security and environment needed by those with memory challenges.

The Cedar Court Neighborhood was designed to provide a comfortable setting, as well as safe surroundings that minimize disorientation and confusion.

The soothing interior features natural lighting, neutral colors and reduced background noise. To help residents find their way, there are cognitive and visual cues on the doors and walls. Other features include a Sensory Stimulation Room and three memory Support Rooms.

Cedar Court is staffed by specially trained professionals, all proficient in the care and needs of those with early-stage Alzheimer's disease and memory impairment. Compassionate and supportive, they are available 24 hours a day.

Advanced Memory Challenges

As Alzheimer's disease or other dementia progresses, residents' needs greatly increase. To meet their needs, Bartley Healthcare elevates the services offered within the Cedar Spring Program in its long term care center.

Offered in a designated Dementia care Wing, the Cedar Spring Program is personalized to each resident.

Individual Plan of Care

Participants are assessed by our integrated medical, nursing, therapeutic and social services staff, who design an individualized plan of care. This plan focuses on the individual's unique strengths and is designed to optimize his or her capabilities, while promoting a sense of well-being.

The program includes a range of diversified cognitive and physical activities that are fun and productive for participants. In addition, the spiritual and social needs of our residents are met with group functions, religious services and relaxation programs.
