"Beyond My Expectations"
When Lillian decided to move to New Jersey from Florida to be closer to her children, she knew one thing for certain: she did not want to live with them. "I love them too much to be a burden," she says.
As a result of an accident, Lillian's leg was amputated. Her son, a pharmacist, knew of Bartley Nursing and Rehabilitation's exceptional reputation. Lillian entered Bartley's Sub Acute Program. She made excellent progress and as a result, was able to be one of The Orchards at Bartley's first residents.

"Living at The Orchards is beyond my expectations," says Lillian. "I love the security, knowing that higher levels of care are there if I ever need them." But she appreciates the little things, too. "I am taken care of. If there's a snow storm, I know that I'll have milk and bread!" She continues, "One winter we had a terrible snow storm, but the chef made sure he got here to cook for us."

"It's a Family Affair"
After touring numerous assisted living communities, Marsha asked her mother, Betty, to visit The Orchards at Bartley. "I immediately fell in love with it," says Betty. "It was cozy, intimate and I felt at home."

She moved in over 2 years ago and has enjoyed every moment since. "Living here is like being on a cruise," she laughs. "There is always so much to do. I'm busy from morning until night, and I'm tired when I get back to my apartment."
Marsha is very happy that her mother chose The Orchards. "This is the nicest assisted living community with the best reputation in the area," she says. "The owners take a real interest in the community and its residents. It's really a family affair." She continues, "It's also nice to know that rehabilitation and nursing care are available right here if ever needed."
